  • Wheelchair-accessible toilets with baby change tables are located 30 meters to the left after entering the park.
  • Children aged 0–15 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
  • Children aged 16 and older are charged at the adult rate.
  • Participants appearing intoxicated may be refused service without a refund.
  • The venue is wheelchair- and stroller-friendly.
  • Infants and children must be counted as passengers.

    Yes, the park opens at 09:00 am - 04:00 pm every day.

  • Is smoking permitted at Hunet Valley Wildlife Park?

    No, smoking is not permitted within the park grounds. Please retain your admission passport for re-entry if you choose to exit to smoke during your visit.

  • Can I hold a Koala at Hunter Valley Wildlife Park?

    Guests cannot hold a Koala. It is against the law in the State of New South Wales to hold a Koala without the appropriate accreditation. You're welcome to visit our Koala Habitat and don't forget to pass the Koala Stamp Station.

  • How long should I plan to spend at Hunter Valley Wildlife Park?

    We recommend around 2 hours to see all of our exotic and Australian animals. You are most welcome to spend the whole day amongst the Kangaroos, Koalas and all of our other incredible furry, scaly and feathered friends. 

  • Is Hunter Valley Wildlife Park suitable for wheelchairs or prams?

    This 10-acre park offers smooth, gently sloping paths, shaded rest areas, and easy access to enclosures with staff available for assistance. Disabled-access bathrooms with baby change tables are located at the entrance and throughout the park.

  • Is there food available for purchase?

    Yes, the Safari Cafe is located at the top of the park and provides plenty of hot food options, as well as fresh sandwiches, ice creams, tea/coffee, and cold beverages.

  • Can I bring a picnic lunch?

    Yes, there are multiple shady picnic areas and two BBQs for yourself, your family, and your friends to enjoy. You are most welcome to bring a picnic lunch. However, we cannot provide storage, utensils, or condiments. Picnic table reservations are not essential as we offer this on a first-come basis.
