FAQs

  • What is there to see at Ballarat Wildlife Park?

Ballarat Wildlife Park is home to over 400 species of native Australian animals, including kangaroos, koalas, wombats, cassowaries, crocodiles, and Tasmanian devils.

Visitors can get up close and personal with these animals, and can even hand-feed some of them.

  • Are there daily talks and feedings at Ballarat Wildlife Park?

Visitors can enjoy a self-guided tour, daily presentations, and watch feedings for a variety of animals, including the Meerkats and Tasmanian devils, as well as presentations on penguins, tigers, dingoes and reptiles.

  • How long should I allow to see the whole park?

We recommend allowing 2 hours minimum. Many guests will spend most of the day at the Park.

  • Can animals be difficult to see?

Some of the animals are nocturnal, and some (like our koalas, wombats and tigers) can sleep for long periods during the day.
